Boot Camps
Our renovators and owner builders boot camp is split into three sections. During the first hour we cover "Budgeting for Building" and answer questions such as:
- What selections do I need to make in my project?
- What elements are most likely to catch me out and blow my budget?
- How do I make sure I have not missed anything in my cost estimation?
- How can I safe-guard against running out of money during the project?
In the second hour we discuss "Scheduling and the Building Process" and explore the following topics:
- In what order should I schedule my trades and why?
-How will the specifics of my project influence the order of my schedule?
- What are some things I may forget to do during my building or renovating process?
In the final hour of the conference we look at"Working with Trades" and how to use quality control measures to ensure your contractors complete their work to an acceptable standard. We cover areas such as:
- What is an induction and what should I do and say when a new contractor comes on site?
- What is a handover and what should I do and say when a contractor completes their scheduled works?
- What are my obligations to the contractors I engage, and what are their legal obligations to me?

We have morning (9:30am-12:30am) and afternoon (2:00pm-5:00pm) sessions and intakes for our web conferences are limited to 6 people per group. Register your interest and we will notify you of upcoming intakes.

One-to-one coaching
Our one-to-one coaching offers years of knowledge and experience to owner builders and home renovators. We provide nine hours (split up into six to nine sessions) of individualised guidance which can be either face to face or via zoom depending on locality and availability. We will work with you to develop an estimation of costs and write a detailed building schedule specific to your project with the goal to ensure a streamlined and efficient build. We also teach you how to use inductions, handovers and other site management tools to put you on the path towards a successful and manageable project.

With building experience since 2004, Mark is a Registered Builder with a DB-Unlimited and a qualified carpenter. He has been the owner of a successful building company in Melbourne for over a decade. Previous study includes a Bachelor of Psychology and a Graduate diploma in counselling.
