In the coming years the Victorian Government is  rolling out a new framework for Registration and Licensing in the building industry.

Stage 1: All carpenters will have to get their builder's  registration or be licensed to carry on any prescribed work in Victoria.

Stage 2: The requirements extend to bricklayers, waterproofers, tilers, concreters, plasterers, insulators and painters.
